	The Beginning
	The Delaney’s was set up in 1994 in Hong Kong by a group of thirsty expats who missed the ‘craic’ of home and decided to bring a bit of their native land to Hong Kong. March 1995 was the opening of Delaney’s Kowloon and December 1996, Delaney’s Kuala Lumpur. The warmth and friendliness of Irish hospitality to new cultures has led Delaney’s to growth and expand.



	The Shamrock

	This was the tool reputedly used by Saint Patrick to illustrate the Holy Trinity to convert the Irish pagans Saint Patrick’s Breastplate. The Shamrock also known as The Lorica.



	The Celebration

	The St Patrick’s Day-17th March
	A celebration to honour the patron saint of Ireland St Patrick. Legend says that he was also the saint who drove all the snakes away from the Island. (It’s been said that this explains the reason one can’t find a single snake in Ireland from religious point of view). The festive parades are held all over the world.

	When an Irishman says, “To be sure, to be sure”, he agreeing with you. Indeed the Irish are the most agreeable and friendly race, much like Malaysians. Irish good humour seems to go hand in hand with their fondness for “a wee drop” Which actually means several pints of beer or stout followed by a whiskey or three – consumed in that most welcoming of places, the Irish Pub. Delaney’s KL – where many Malaysians are discovering a natural affinity with Irish culture, particularly the liquid variety. The furniture and fittings have been shipped all the way from Dublin.
